"Groove is in the heart, and this latest effort by Southport super-soldiers ENTRAPMENT is an abundance of real heart and all the groove to fill it.

The record rings in - in true hardcore feedback fashion and invokes a stadium hair metal experience crammed into a hardcore dive bar. Guitarist Sean explodes and shines off the bat and all over this record with dive bombs, glam-inspired licks and hearty solos all packed in tastefully between those solid foundation Entrapment-approved hardcore chugs and chords.

As side A spins, moments takes you on a very welcome trip to 'golden era' Aus hardcore with gang chants and stomp beats that would see bodies piling for the mic and side-to-siding like a bull fight.

The low end gets ample opportunities to jackhammer heart pounding and body moving grooves in the breaks through-out and bassist Dennis seizes every one, even an almost Les Claypool fever-dream bass intro to side B.

The drums drive and command you to move any part of your body you can from first hit to last cymbal wash and Frosh probably has hairline fractures from each impact. With buck shot snares that'll have you ducking for cover in the doubles and tom rolls that'll get the room marching as a platoon.

Beyond the traditional hardcore bones, Entrapment have tastefully intertwined world instruments throughout this ride with the use of bongos and gongs. These nuances catch you off guard yet instantly feel like they belong and it's a very welcome touch and mature approach by the whole team.

Big boy Toby projects with his natural swagger effortlessly over the top of this symphony like a hardcore Action Bronson throughout but has really allowed himself moments to emphasise raw and genuine emotion that leave you no choice but to feel what he feels. Backed by his army of guests and gang chants, it won't take you long to know the words (and the postcode!).

As the records end draws near, the boys teleport you to an amphitheater in the Swedish woods somehow and sooth you with an epic and almost Opeth invoking bridge before pummelling you back to Southport in good old fashioned Entrapment energy.

An amazing effort by all involved and I'll be buying two for when the first one inevitably gets worn out".
